Networking, Community, Like-Minded People

I am strongly motivated by the need to help other people, deeply empathic and compassionate I am insanely protective of my friends and loved ones. I resist the oppression of any individual or group by another individual or group. I have been blessed to be of a fairly substantial physical build and since child hood have used that (corny as it sounds) to protect the weak or those who are being victimised. I learnt from a very young age that the only way to defeat a bully is to resist them, fight back and they will leave you alone. Be passive and you become their victim. At my schools (we moved around a lot!) I was known as a Bully killer.

I enjoy hiking, current affairs, Geosciences, bushcraft/survival training, Krav Maga (I both enjoy & strongly recommend this martial art to every body), practical shooting, cooking, reading, social justice and political activism, self sufficiency and off grid living and learning in general, whether practical or academic. I have served in the military (being deliberately vague here) as combat infantry and as a specialist combat medic. I strongly believe in the right to self determination for all humans, irrespective of ethnicity, gender, sexuality or religion and would pick up a rifle to defend somebody else's right to the same. I live by the cadence 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. I guess politically I am a socially liberal Libertarian who does NOT support Ron Paul but believes in the right to bear arms. I am distrustful of the PTB or those who would supplant them. Self defence is a right that is NON NEGOTIABLE. Ie if you are stupid enough to attack me physically, bad things are going to happen to you...! Solution....don't physically attack people...I am hostile to those who would oppress me or my brothers and sisters (fellow humans).

Depends on my mood and the occasion.....but....Kasabian, Mos Def, Bob Marley, Disturbed, some really meaty DnB, Queens of the Stone Age, Ska and 2 Tone, Opera, Jimmy Hendrix, James Brown and The Skatalites (amongst others) would usually be found on my MP3 player
