This community was not designed obviously for a "physical" place to retreat to and try to survive or thrive through upcoming events. Although i think there is great importance in being self-sustaining, and being completely lost from society may be the only way of surviving a world thrown into chaos. I truly understand and do not disagree with the belief that if you choose to stay in a chaotic society, that could be your ultimate downfall.
Here's my view of it. I can not see the benefit of putting all this energy into researching where is truly a safe place to go. Because we don't know what disasters will strike or to what degree. I do understand the basic ascertaining of a safe place, like for example, i'm not going to live near the ocean or on top of a volcano. I feel very safe physically where i'm at and instead of trying to flee to a place of uncertainty, i'd rather stay here and try to help my current community survive. Could that be the death of me. Yes it could. So please don't feel the need to debate whether it's right or wrong, it's right for me and that is all that should matter.
I do not believe because i have faith in God i will be exempt from any suffering or hardship. There is no protective umbrella. If you look biblically, many people that sought favor in Gods eyes were not spared an easy life. In fact they faced great hardships and even death. But i would rather leave that up to God and have faith in him that he will show me the proper way to go and prepare for what is upon us.
I hope through this community you all can share your own ideas of how God is leading you through your own personal preparations. That's why it's not worth arguing what ideas are right and wrong, because what may be right for me, may be wrong for someone else.
