Many people today like to argue the different beliefs between creation and evolution. I like to put a different perspective on it that most people don't imagine. Can the two different theories exist mutually? Evolutionist point to the scientific evidence and say the creation of this planet happened over many millions of years. Creationist point to the book of genesis where God created everything in seven days. I tend to believe that God did not create everything in what we considered 7 days. A day being 24 hours, and this is why.
We currently view a "day" as a 24 hour time period of the earths rotation, seperating day from night. Our reality of a day has to do with a sun earth relationship. But it's been said many times that God's time and our time are of different measure. I believe this to be so. On the first day, God created Light. He called the light day and the dark night. But it wasn't until the fourth day that he actually created the sun and the moon. The greater light to govern the day(sun), and a lesser light (moon) to govern the night. So that raises a very interesting question. How can we have a 24 hour day period already existing in the first day if the way we measure a day currently has not yet been created until the fourth day. The answer is we can not. It is because we do not truly understand the timeframe at the time of creation because we tend currently to evolve around a 24 hour time system. I believe somewhere else in the bible (i'll find for sure), it states but a day to us is like a thousand years to God. I hope this gets you thinking about our current way of traditional religious beliefs and how we can possibly open are minds up to different ways of thinking.

This maybe a bit off topic, but in the bible God says to Noah after the floods that there will never be flooding like what happened to Noah.

So, where does a Pole-shift fit regarding the bible and Gods word?

Jamie-You are exactly right about the promise god gave to noah after the great flood. That's why i believe this wont be a mass level extinction event. I've been wanting to do a seperate topic on your question, hopefull have it done here soon. Thanks for bringing it up!
